Geocaching 2/24 and 2/25/2011

Geocacher pearle has hidden three more geocaches in the Jacksonville area (One Land Bridge, Slow Children Series #1, and Slow Children Series #2). I saw them published late yesterday afternoon. I quickly uploaded the coords to my Garmin Oregon to try to be FTF by that evening for at least two of the three. I was late getting back to Jacksonville so I was only able to find One Land Bridge and SCS #2 before it got too dark (I forgot to pack the flashlight). It was too dark for SCS #1, so that would wait until the next morning. On the way to work this morning, I stopped to get SCS #1. SCS #1 was hidden on a sign that appeared to have been used as target practice.

iPod Touch

I have recently acquired an iPod Touch 32 GB from Target. Part of this purchase was with a gift card that my Department gave me as a Christmas bonus. I added a few dollars to make up for the purchase (the iPod Touch was also on sale when I got it). Check back later for updates on the adventures with this new high-tech gadget. I have already installed the Echolink app on it as well as the Facebook app (both are free). I may be able to check-in on some Echolink nets during my lunch hour using the University's Wi-Fi system.
