Bowl Update and Ham Radio activities

Well, 5 bowls out of 32 are in the record books. The games on Friday and Saturday (4 games) were very good, especially the Las Vegas Bowl. Here are the results:

New Orleans Bowl (Friday): Florida Atlantic 44, Memphis 27

PapaJohns.com Bowl (Saturday): Cincinnati 31, Southern Mississippi 21

New Mexico Bowl (Saturday): New Mexico 23, Nevada 0 (a shutout!!)

Las Vegas Bowl (Saturday): BYU 17, UCLA 16. Just when it looked like UCLA was going to pull an upset with a field goal at the last 3 seconds of the game, a BYU player got a hand up during the kick and the ball fell just short of the cross bar. Wow, what a finish!

27 bowls to go! Next up is the Hawaii Bowl. East Carolina and Boise State. East Carolina better watch out for that hook and lateral that Boise State is known for, just ask Oklahoma ;)

Poinsettia Bowl 2007

Utah kicks off College Bowl Season with a wild win over Navy, 35-32.

Christmas time is almost here!

Just a few more days until Christmas. Christmas services at church, family time, presents, college football bowls, food, parties, and did I mention college bowls? Hopefully I will have some more time to spend on the HF band and work some stations on 20 meters and maybe 15 meters or 10 meters if those bands are open. I am working on some digital projects (packet, HF e-mail, and PSK) for emergency services as well as a portable HF/VHF station. Check back later on my progress.
