VHF/UHF DX 3-18-09 and 3-19-09

Heard a lot of skip on the scanner the past two mornings. The APRS propagation map indicates a good path from south Texas to Kansas. Yesterday morning, I picked up some APRS packets from Western Kentucky. This morning, I could hear the McLennan county (Waco) TRS system on 800 MHz as though it were local (Tyler-Longview). I expect more of these during Spring.
